The   House   of   Dior  just  announced  today   while   everyone  was     still   busy  opening   Eastern  Eggs   the  nomination of  Raf  Simmons as  Artistic  Director ,  of  women's  Haute  Couture,  Ready-to-Wear  and  Accessories  collections   .

The first  collection under  his   Direction  is    Haute   Couture  presented   in   July .

Awaiting to   see   the   new  Direction of  the  House  of  Dior


I  say   Good   Bye    to  lovely   Bill    who,   I  am   sad   to  see    go ,  because   after   the  flop   of  Haute  Couture   summer 11    in  which   was    too  influenced   by  John    delivered   a   modern  and   nice    collections .

Happy Easter !!!! and surprise egg

When     I  was   a  kid   I   was  looking  for  Easter   for   the  Chocolate   Eggs  with   surprise   inside   .
In  the   80  in  Italy  was   a big  trend   to  have  bespoke   Easter  egg   !  So   the   present  was  purchased   and   enclosed   inside  the   egg ....

Would   be  amazing    having  designers  Easter   Eggs    with   designer   surprise  !!!   and   maybe    the    egg wrapped    with  a   designer   scarf  !!!    Can  you  imagine   Hermes   egg  wrapped   in  Hermes   scarf     full   of Hermes    bangles   inside   or   Hermes   Kelly  mini   !!!   Love    it .... BOOK it  !!!   as  my  friend   Fashion   photographer Ram  Shergill    would  say .

Let's    see    what  I  would   like  to found  in  my   egg  ( no  matter  if .... the   chocholate   does   not  really  do    for  Abs  Fabs  !! ) he   surprise   need   to be   great  !!!!

All  proceeds   have  been dedicated   to  the  charities Action  for  Children  and   Elephant Family  .

Abs Fab !!!

In  the    year  of  the  great  return  on  TV  of   Absolutely  Fabulous   and   Fantastic   Chelsea   girls   Eddie   and   Patsy   ( One  of  my   friend   few  years   back  renamed  me    Eddie   while   calling  my   assistant  Toki   Bubble  )   ...   there  is   a   great   return   on  the   catwalk  of    tummy  showing   looks   also    for   brand    typically  Bon  Ton    like  Prada   and   Paule   Ka  .

Therefore   is    necessary  to    work   hard     starting     from  yesterday  to  have  a  Abs  Fab   !!!

Here   some  exercises     we  can  do    at  home  10   minutes    a  day

But   ....    I  do  not   think   is   going  to    be  enough   therefore    book    massage  ...  personal  trainer  ...   pass  by  Bliss   Spa  ,  check  what  is   available  at  Shiseido ,  Chanel , Clarins    ......

But    this   is  what  you  can  get  !!

Fashion never sleeps

Sometimes  when I wake up in the  morning   I  try  to  remember   my  dream  of  the   night...   andmany  times   I  think I dream  some  of  my  favorite  pieces   from   the  collections , specially  the   nights  before  a   photo shoot  I am  styling...  Looks  and   coordination   shaffle   in  my  dreams !

Anyway  this  is  not  what  I  wanted  to   talk  today .


This    summer    big   Trend  is   60... and    we  immediately   think   American  graffiti  ,   Grease  style    so  celebrated   in   Prada    collection .....but is   not  all   about  Americana .

 "It Girls"  wanted   to   work  in  Fashion  is   not   a new   invention  , one  of  the   first   was   Princess  Irene Galitzine   whose   family   was   forced   to  flee   Russia    following  1917 October   Revolution  and   took up  residence  in  Rome ,  After    working  for   3   years      for   the   historic    " Sorelle  Fontana "   she   launched    her   own  line  and  in  the   in  1960    she    anchived   great    success  with  the   launch  of  her  "Palazzo  Pyjamas "  , Evening  pyjamas   became  a firm  fixture  of  the  fashion   scene  during  the  1960   also   maybe   helped  by  the   fact   that  Rome  at  the   time   was   called   Hollywood  on  Tevere    with    all   the   big    celebrity    working   from  there    in   the   years   of  " La  Dolce  Vita "   .
