Art & Craft let's try again

Every   once  in  a  while   I  think,  I  should   have  a   hobby   something  to  do   while   I  watch  TV (which  by  the  way I  never  really  do except    for   Gossip  Girls :-P  )...and    every   2   or   3  years   I  start  needlepoint  ,  I  go  to  Peter  Jones  in  Sloane  Square  and   buy   the   all   kit  and   I  am  really  motivated   to  have    all  done   in  a  week ,  once  I   either    did  a  challenge  with  my  Art  Director   friend  Apara ....

Two years   ago   I  called   everywhere    to  get  my  hand  on   the   Special  Edition  Needlepoint  Fendi  Baguette  .

I  was   able    to   found  it  in  the  Rome  store, and  I  sent  my Mum  to  buy  it ....   but  then   decided   that  was   better   to  not   start ....  and   to  hold   for  a  bit ,   anyway    look   so   nice   in  my  Archive     with  the   box   so  perfect !!!

...  I  think    I  will   stop  by  Peter   Jones   again today  after   attending   the   press  presentation  of  Joseph  where   I   am  looking  forward  to see  my  friend  Imogen   !

Nice to meet you

During  last   Haute   Couture   collection  , I   was  in  Paris  and  I  got   an  obsession  ...  and     was   not    a  gown  from  Haute   Couture   from  Chanel  or   Dior    but  ....   (  anyway   I  loved  every  single   gown @ Dior    and  Chanel !!!  ).  I  loved   l'Atelier   Versace  back  to  Catwalk !

Let  me  tell  you  how  it  started ;  I  was  waiting  to  attend  the  presentation  of   Hermes Men   and    meet the  lovely  Myriam    and   Haya     from  Dubai  press  office   so  I  decided   to  stop    for  Tea   with my  friend  Caterina  Zangrando   @ Bristol   Hotel  one   of  the   best  5  stars  hotel  in Paris.

I  enter  the  Hotel  and   here   I  found   a  beautiful  blue eyed   white  Birman  cat ,   busy   destroing   the    amazing  and   very  expensive    Flower   decoration  at  the  entrance    of  the   Hotel ....  and   nobody   was    even     attempting    to  stop  him  .

I  looked  very   surprised   my  friend  Caterina  ....  and    she   tells   me    ah   yes   he  owns   the   Hotel !  ....   I  was  ... ????    look  at  the   cat ,  and   say   ehi   you  !!!who   are   you  ???   and   the   cat   ...  WHO   ARE   YOU  ????     You    are  in  my  Hotel    so   introduce    yourself   first  !!   ...   Caterina      ...   his   name    is  Fa-Raon  (the  French  of pharaoh )   and  Robbie  really   he  owns   Hotel  Bristol    ,he   has   a  big   list  of   celebrity  friends     from  Brad  Pitt  and   Angiolina  ,  Leonardo  di  Caprio   but  also   Donatella   Versace    who  present  her  Haute   Couture   Collection   "L'Atlier  Versace " in  a suite    @  Hotel  Bristol   .

I   did   enquire    with   the   PR   @  the  Hotel   on  a  possible   photo  shoot   with   him ,   but  as    all  the  big   celebrity   he   need   to  know   more   of  the  brands   I  planning  to   use   in  my  styling ,  photographer  ,  hair ....   he    is   quite busy    so  ....      let  you  know   .

Fa-Raon   who   sometimes   goes   to Airport     with  a  Smart    to  pick  up  some  of  his   celebrity   guest

Look at me I am Sandra Dee

I  am   always   been   a  big  fan of  American  Movie  Classic  specially   those  from  the   60 ,  I  think  I  started   my  dream  of   be   a  stylist    playing   with  Barbie  and  watching on TV  movie with Sandra   Dee   the   real Barbie   little   sister  .

The   pastel   colours  and   pretty  looks     of  this   summer    for  some  reason  make  me   think  of  Sandra   Dee  .

As    many  of  you   know ,  prior  moving  to  London   I  used  to  live  in  Miami  ,   and   because   I  am   always   been  a   Fashionista    I....    started  to   look  around   and   became  obsessed   with   Palm  Beach   Label   Lilly  Pulitzer  .


C.  Orrico   just  off   of  the  famous Worth  Avenue  ( The   Rodeo  Drive  of  Palm  Beach ),  is    been    selling   Lilly  Pulitzer   ever   since   the   label  is  been  around  .


Lilly McKim married Peter Pulitzer and needed something to keep her busy down there in Palm Beach all day long. She opened a juice stand and soon found the need for something comfortable that would camouflage the stains she would get on her clothes when squeezing fruit. The result was a brightly printed dress she could wear every day, everywhere. Not only was the dress practical, it quickly became the iconic style of a fun-loving lifestyle... The Classic Lilly Shift was born. 


Every  season   I  had  to   have few  more   Lilly  new   print    dresses  or  Capri trousers,   in  the    print  there written  Lilly   hiding  in  the   design  and   this   was  another    cool  factor   of  the  brand     .  I   still   have   all   as  part  of   my  personal   archive   . 

So   did   you    found   Lilly written  hiding  in  the   design  of  the  above  prints?

The   Print   looks   amazing   with   60   style    shapes ,    the   good   American    Bon  Ton  . 






I was   so  happy    when  I  saw  a  Lilly Pulitzer  inspired   collection  for Prada  Cruise  12.   
The one  of  you  who  know  me know   I  am  obsessed  with  Prada  !!!  last   year   I  did  ask  to  interview   her   for  HIA   magazine  on   "  Where  Fashion  goes  on holiday " and  ...  I  was  told   she   does   not  do    interview   ......   I  wanted  to  ask her  can  I   go  holiday   with you ...  I  am   not  an  Fashion  intellectual  more   a  fashion   Barbie but  I  am  lovely ....  I  will   try   again   to  ask  if    she   need  a  sister  !!! 
I  of  course   bought  quite    few  pieces   from  Prada   cruise  !

From Greece with Love

Well  over   2    years   ago  on  my  Report   for   the  season  on  HIA  magazine   Dubai  I   did    write  ,  that   Mary   Katrantzou ,   with   her   fantastic   print ,   despite    be  a  newcomer     had   to  be   considered     already the   "Queen   of   London  fashion  Week "   the   show   to see   in  London !!!

And    I   happy    to  see    her  success   keep  growing  ,  her   Top  Shop  collection  made  to  celebrate  10   years   of  TS    supporting  British   Fashion    sold out  in  less  then   2   hours ....    my   friend    Caterina   Zangrando   the   Jewelry    Designer    came    from  Paris     just  to  go   there ....  and      took  me    to Top Shop in  Oxford  Circus  at   9 am ! ...  the   shop  was   already  full   of  her  fans...

I  keep   getting   news  of her  amazing collaboration   like    Mary   for   Longchamp ...   the   bag  is   in  my  wish  list  !!!

And   again   Mary   Katrantzou   " Pug Dogs   for  Happy Kids @  Luisa  Via  Roma "  done  in   aid   of  Unicef .
