Macaroni io ve distruggo

I  am    still   in  Rome, and     with my  friend    Ian Paul   we   decided   to   go   down  for a  drink to   Trastevere, but   we    found  the   area    totally    changed    from   the   Big   Movida   of  the  past  years  .

All  was  very  clean  and    tidy ,   no  people   around    to  sell  fakes   of  big  brands ,   but  only  pot purri   and   mini   Pinocchio  dolls, but  also   and  this   was a   very  good   surprise just   open  a  new    shop  called  di San  Giacomo   in  Via  di  Santa  Dorotea which make   "Capri Sandals "  .

Many  of  the   restaurants   have   the check  red   and    white table  cloths   and   all   looked  more    like   " Trastevere  inside    Disney  " ,  of   course    Police   forces  everywhere   to  be  sure    to    keep   all  this  way   .
Tourists   in    forces    specially  American  and   British   flock  in  the   streets    of   Trastevere  which still maintains its character thanks   to  its narrow   cobbled  streets  lined by medieval houses .

The    style    code   was   to  have  a    bag     to  wear   cross !

And   above  please  do    enjoy   Alberto  Sordi   in  " Un Americano a  Roma ",  an  amazing  movie of 1954  by   Stefano Vanzina   alias  Steno   on  a   Roman  guy in  the    Italy  post  second  war   obsessed  with   America    .

Ciao

P.s.   the   Movida  in  Rome continua  a Ponte Milvio
